This summer flew by and it’s already the last week of our Hebrew Ulpan. Unfortunately we will not have Osnat as our teacher during the year, but fortunately, we will have Zohara (sorry Kitah Gimmel for stealing your amazing teacher).

Here are our Top 5 Favorite Hebrew Expressions Learned During Ulpan:

1. !?מה הפלא - (Ma-HaPeleh?) - What do you expect? or DUH!

2. שפעת חזירים - (Sapa’at Hazirim) - Swine Flu, very important to know

3. לחתוף את השמיים - (Lichtof et HaShamayim) - The sky’s the limit, from one of our favorite songs, “עוף גוזל” (Oof Gozal)

4. לפרוש כנפיים - (Lifrosh Kanfayim) - Spread your wings, also from Oof Gozal

5. לשוב לתחייה - (Lashuv Litchayah) - Born again, useful for all those conversations with Christians.
