Bess’s Egypt Trip - Day 5
Back to Cairo on the overnight train, complete with 4-bread breakfast. We made it to what we’d been looking forward to the whole trip…THE MARRIOTT! After sleeping on trains and hostels, the Marriott seemed like heaven on earth. We pulled ourselves out of the ridiculously comfortable beds to go to the Pyramids. After wandering around these HUGE structures trying to avoid other tourists and camels we went inside and although there might not be much left to see inside, it was still awesome to be standing in there. After an eventful cab ride home (where our cab driver backed up onto the on-ramp to switch routes) we returned to the lovely Marriott where we ended the day by the pool.
