Today Bess went Kippa (yarmulke) shopping with classmates Ethan and Jonah. The winning kippa is shown above, but we certainly wish she would have taken pictures of the top 5 craziest looking kippot - next time. Get excited as Molly and Bess accumulate more Judaica as the year progresses!
Best part about this experience - actually buying a kippah that I like AND to later discover that Yoshi, our program director, has the same one in blue. Being kippah buddies is a bond that never dies.
Worst part about today - the shopkeepper at the first store we went to either does not sell kippot to women or does not like to sell his product. He pretty much yanked the kippah I was looking at out of my hands and put it back in its place.
