Today Molly took her turn leading the Thursday morning tefillah. It was a challenging experience to act as service leader, Gabbai, and lead a lot of the music, but luckily she had help from many talented classmates and had three amazing Torah chanters!

We present Molly’s Top 5 Thursday Morning Surprises:

1. Michael Marmur couldn’t be there. Surprising, but probably for the better. It’s possible that I wouldn’t have been able to handle the pressure.

2. There is a surprising amount of weekday nusach that is “made up”….or mumbled, if you prefer.

3. It is possible to drink too much water.

4. Dan Nichols’ “Shirei Zimra” got a lot of great feedback! Wasn’t sure how the class would receive that melody.

5. This isn’t exactly a “surprise”, but I am always reminded during the Thursday morning student-led tefillah, what a supportive class we have! It’s pretty amazing.
