Sound of Music Sing-A-Long!

This magical evening was more than just a top 5, but for your protection, Molly will just provide the highlights. Here is Molly’s Top 5 of the Sound of Music Sing-A-Long:

1. Sister John Curley. Former Evening Magazine host, John Curley, never disappoints when he’s working for the good lord.

2. Looking at Captain Von Trapp on the big screen :)

3. Hissing the baroness (hissssssssss!)

4. Booing the nazis and shining our flashlights during the graveyard scene

5. Making use of all the props provided (see above) and witnessing the costume contest (wish I could give some of those memories away and never take them back)

Yay for Molly seeing her nephew, Noah.

Lucky Molly, she got to ring in the new year with friends, loved ones, charlie, and david german. Here is Molly’s Top 5 Highlights (for better or worse) of the evening:

1. Meeting Charlie Rex for the first time. big.deal.

2. Watching the Space Needle fireworks on the roof of Adam’s building

3. Dave’s formal introduction to my friends. aw.

4. Staying up until 5:30 in the morning! I know, that’s 30 minutes after the time I usually wake up.

5. Worst part of the evening: David German. Maybe I’m just being naive, but I never thought I would experience antisemitism in liberal Seattle, from a friend of one of my best friends. I won’t repeat any of the horrible things he said to my face, or the even worse things he said when he thought I wasn’t listening to him. There are plenty of people that don’t think that way, but it was just a sad reminder that there are still ignorant and intolerant people to be found in all places.
